Bitola Street Map Poster

Few streets in the Balkans are as recognisable as Širok Sokak, the long pedestrian promenade that gives Bitola its elegant, consular-era character. This street map runs the boulevard from the Clock Tower (Saat Kula) down through the heart of the city, past nineteenth-century facades that earned Bitola its old nickname, “the city of consuls.” Just off the promenade the Old Bazaar (Stara Čaršija) preserves a denser web of Ottoman lanes, while the small Dragor River threads quietly through the centre.
